Watch As Hackettstown Apartment Burglar Kicks Down Door, Runs Off With Cash (Video)

The suspect in a Hackettstown apartment burglary was caught on camera busting through the door and running off with cash and jewelry after two women came in and asked to use the bathroom, apparently in hopes of scoping the place out for the intruder, say authorities who are looking for more clues.

The burglary occurred at 175 Main St. just after 11:45 a.m. on Thursday, April 6, Hackettstown Police said.

About 15 minutes earlier, two women unknown to the residents came to the apartment asking to use the bathroom, according to police. One of them used the bathroom while the other stood in the kitchen near the doorway to one of the bedrooms.

Both women, estimated to be ages 45 and 60, then left the home.

The man can be seen kicking in the front door and running off with money and jewelry in a 21-second video clip:

One of the residents was in a locked bedroom at the time of the burglary, police said. No injuries were reported.
